Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Raised by her mother within the USA she was subject to a lot of racial taunts and made her feel being unwanted. When she went to a school competition and received high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade the young girl started to gain confidence. The experience not only helped to boost her confidence, but also changed her goals in life. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23 years old, she launched her career in Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23, her movie debut was You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only her the Tony Award for her performance but also a flurry of praise from critics. The following year, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she also released her own solo album as well as an extended version. In addition, she's an activist who is active to promote LGBT rights.
